Just a Bit of Silliness I wrote "back in the day when..."

My, my, my, pie in the sky
And how my brain is fried
When all i can write is jibberish
and nonsense and such
Is there any clever new prose?- not much!-
in that THC-soaked brain
with a weed-shaped stain
What happened to enlightenment, advancement,
curiousity, and enhancement?
i'm left with mushy white cells,
squishy gray jell
Trying to impersonate my brain
Trying to pass as sane

Do i regret the fun i had?
Have i treated myself so bad?
i opened my mind up so far,
left the door ajar,
and now my brain is at war
Or maybe my mind was open too wide
and my brain just fell out and died
Either or, the end is the same,
i'm mindless and numb and mentally lame
i can't think past TV land
i can't count past my hands

But i can still touch the stars in the sky
'cuz fuck it, i still get high!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You may think this is silliness, I like it. I like the slightly wistful feel of the second verse and then the defiant twist on the end.

Well, thank you! I do have other poetry, but this one was really in a class of its own... my other stuff is more...erotic or somber. But thanks again!
