Ode to Mead

Oh bottle of mead, how doth I love thee?
Let me count the ways:
Thou art mellow and sweet,
Like a sunrise dipped in honey,
Thou doth linger on the tongue
Like a sea breeze on a lazy noon,
And, once I hath drunk up half thy bottle,
And then some,
Thous and thees doth sound good,
As only bad Ren Faires and saucy wenches
Could do,
And my poetry,
That Chaucer wouldst have us’ed to wipe
His bum,
Doth sound somewhat good,
Or at least good enough to toast to
With the other half --
Somewhat less --
Of the bottle.
