Y'see, the hurricanes this year, in their rush to destroy all the Republican-voting counties, the state was so, ahem, "polarized", the electrons got confused with elections and all are slowed down so the Florida voting populace can understand.

Notice most of the states where we have real winters were 'blue', non-polarized, so the electrons (little fluff-headed blonde things that they are) don't get confused and everything runs well.
