As a general rule diseases don't tend to spread between species. Doggy (or whatever) germs would have a hard time living in people and vice versa. Though the exchange of fluids during sex would be an excelent means of transmition.
I just don't think there has been a lot of research on the matter.
Of course if you were willing to experiment ( in the intrest of science of course ) I'd be happy to observe and take notes.

I've actually had a discussion about this with a veterinarian friend who thought there was not much risk of disease transmission. There aren't any transmissible venereal diseases that cross from canine to human. Some basic hygiene measures would help reduce risks of bacterial infection.

I wonder whether many men would want their girlfriend having sex with a dog. Would it bother them that they would be sharing her with an animal? I suspect they might. They probably enjoy seeing another woman getting it from an animal, but don't want it to be their gal.

I would not presume to speak for all men, and I'm too much of a (gentleman?) to torture and tell so allow me to delve into the world of the hypothetical. Suppose their were a sub named um, let's call her steph, who for unknown reasons was under the influence and control of a mad Dom named, let's say Lews.
Now if sub steph were a particularly naughty sub she might find herself bound face down to with her wrists and thighs strapped to the legs of an ottoman.
