"Rape fantasies" are like "square circles": By definition impossible. The main point of "rape" is the non-consensuality of it, but as soon as someone dreams of being taken by force it no longer is non-consensual, since it is wanted by the "raped" person, and hence it no longer is rape. What's more, using the word "rape" in this context is a mockery of women who really have been raped. Pfui!
The correct term for what these people dream of is "violent sex", but that has nothing whatever to do with rape.

I have to agree, for a guy to fantasise about raping a woman, that is easy to translate into fact, rape her against her will... But for a woman, or gay man, to fantasise about rape and wish for it, well no longer rape is it if they want it... I can see however, some person fantasising about rape and wondering how it would feel to be raped without atually wanting the act performed on her / him... more a visualisation in the mind of how much pain and suffering there would be involved with being violently raped, while all the time being scared shitless of it actually happening to them... The if they got raped it would be fantasy turned reality.

I have a strong feeling yhat different people do not use word RAPE in exactly the same way.
Anyway, key word is FANTASY. Rape fantasy is classical Freudian fantasy (like flying or being naked in public). Most people just fantastize (or perhaps just add some spice through rough sex) some will enjoy play-rape, a few are willing to go trough staged ENACMENT. But REAL rape is not even close to it. And it should not be, thanks god ..

I think it is more acurate to describe it as an extreme form of rough sex.

Women love to be desired. I think that if a woman asks a man for sex, it kind of makes it less due to him wanting her. Women prefer to entice men (lingerie is a classic example of this) into fucking them. There is also the "good girl" aspect; being stuffed and pounded against her will means she can enjoy it without feeling "guilty" and still being a "good girl".
