At one time this was from the Muslim world, from which we have the root of our arithmetic, astronomy, and medical science. And at a later date from the Christian world, which gave us our current understanding of astronomy and physics. trying to tell me that my believing in God precludes me looking at His creation with any ability to understand it ignores the history of science and religion. Plus, it shows that the person speaking has no real idea of who I am or what I am capable of.The difference between science and religion is the difference between a willingness to dispassionately consider new evidence and new arguments, and a passionate unwillingness to do so….The difference between science and religion is the difference between a genuine openness to fruits of human inquiry in the 21st century, and a premature closure to such inquiry as a matter of principle.
