My mother was submissive to my father their entire marriage for 38 years and I've two brothers, one is Dominant and my other brother and I turned out Submissive. My moms mother I remember she telling me she was dominant with her husband so, how did my mother turned out to be submissive to my father?

I'm not sure if genetics really plays a part or not.
