I'm not sure when I awoke but I still felt terribly sore and my back ached as I moved slowly round my rooms. I whimpered a little bit as I sat on the sofa in my room and looked at the pile of sandwiches and snacks that had been left for me.
Munching on them slowly I slipped my long nightdress off and in the mirror I could see the deep, heavy bruising that had occurred when I had been thrashed by the Master for my unrulyness. The mirror showed off all the marks in full and left anyone seeing them knowing I had been thrashed. I stood up ever so slowly and managed to get to the bathroom. The food had made me queazy but I still ran the big deep bath and filled it with the best bubble bath and very expensive bath crystals.
I groaned a little as I sat down in the bath and then noticed the tiny red puncture marks on my arm where the painkillers had been given to me. With the bruising my arm looked terrible and then I noticed something even worse. I must have done it when I fell off the stage. I shivered at the memory....I had a black eye and my nose looked broken. I just cried for a bit and then eventually dozed for a bit in the bath.
When I woke up the water was a little cool so I stood on shaky legs in the warm shower. Feeling much better I pulled on some underwear and with iced water I managed to swallow my vitamins. Knowing my legs were black and blue I knew I had to hide them so I pulled on the loosest pair of jeans I could find and then slipped on a light baggy linen top. I thought for ages about how I'd look so I settled on some light makeup and I pulled my hair back. Bending down was agony so I decided on some slip on sandals and considered what to do next.
Being extremely quiet I left my room and headed for the one place I'd be nice and warm. It says something about my broken mental state when I couldn't even be bothered to open the two elaborate jewellery cases that I had found on the table in my room when I woke up. To be honest, the residue of the powerful pain killers mixed with the vitamins seemed to have made me very light headed and all I wanted was some more ice cold water.
I paused at the kitchen door and waited as I gathered myself before I entered.
